Private Party
As a professional wedding coordinator now 29 years, I was almost dreading the privilege of planning a wedding for my favorite sister-in-law Paula. It's hard to be both detached professional and involved personally. As much as I wanted to enjoy the event, I knew there were expectations of my ability "to deliver a good party" based on my experience. The band makes or breaks a wedding reception.
In spite of the muggiest environment I've ever survived and the minor complications that come with a destination wedding, the reception was a Level 10 success. Why? Two words: "The Plaintiffs."
Your group of musicians were the complete package: friendly, on-time, flexible, incredibly talented and kept smiling even when the the heat was nearly unbearable. Your ability to "just do it," set a tone for the guests and soon the humidity was a moot point. You guys looked like you were having almost as much fun as you were creating for all of us!
Kudos on the blue shirts, the song sequence, the compromised breaks, the willingness to roll with our last-minute requests. I've always found the mark of true professionalism is "flexibility." The Plaintiffs personify professionalism.
It was a pleasure for this wedding planner to work in the presence of such a talented group of musicians and I look forward to the opportunity to do so again in the future. Kansas City has a lot of good bands, but we don't have The Plaintiffs....yet.
Most Sincerely,
Michael Nolte![]()
